Dianne Caruso is Special Counsel in HHG Legal Group’s family law team, advising clients across a broad range of matters. These include divorce, parenting, financial, property settlement, spousal maintenance, child support, mediation, Family Dispute Resolution, Family Violence Restraining Orders and surrogacy.

Dianne’s aim is to help people to resolve their family law issues in the most cost effective and timely manner, and with as little emotional distress as possible. She works closely with clients to provide clear guidance, practical support, and thoughtful advice tailored to their individual circumstances and goals.

Dianne has extensive experience in family law. Before entering private practice, Dianne worked as a Legal Associate to several Judges of the Family Court of Western Australia, including the Honourable Justice Crooks, Acting Judge Warnick, Acting Judge Boland, and Justice Walters. This experience provided invaluable exposure to Family Court processes, procedures and hearings including trials. Dianne has extensive experience in family law including appearing as counsel in Court and has practiced exclusively in the area of family law since being admitted as a lawyer. She is also an Independent Children’s Lawyer advocating on behalf of children’s best interests in high risk matters in the Family Court.

In addition to her work as a family lawyer, Dianne is also an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. She chairs mediations in respect of both parenting and financial matters. Her aim is to assist parties to reach workable solutions, empowering them to make their own decisions rather than embark on costly and lengthy Court proceedings. Dianne can chair mediations in our offices in Perth, Mandurah, Bunbury and Albany. These can be lawyer-assisted if agreed to by both parties.

Dianne’s experience includes assisting clients with complex financial matters involving business interests, trusts, companies and corporate structures. She has extensive experience in complex parenting matters involving high risk, both as a family lawyer and an Independent Children’s Lawyer.

Dianne has a particular interest in surrogacy and assisted reproductive technology. She understands the sensitive and deeply personal nature of these matters and works closely with clients to help them navigate the legal framework with clarity and confidence.

Clients value Dianne’s approachable nature, responsiveness, and ability to explain complex legal issues in a clear and accessible way.
