Practical, strategic advice can make a significant difference when a dispute affects your business, property, project or organisation.
Patrick Beilby is Special Counsel in HHG Legal Group’s commercial litigation and dispute resolution team, advising businesses, property owners, strata stakeholders, local government clients and individuals across a broad range of disputes and contentious matters.
Admitted to practice in 2011 after graduating from the University of Western Australia in 2009, Patrick brings significant experience across commercial litigation, building and construction disputes, strata and property matters, estate-related disputes, regulatory matters and State Administrative Tribunal proceedings.
Patrick regularly advises and represents clients in disputes involving contracts, construction projects, strata schemes, property interests, wills and estates, enforcement issues and broader commercial conflicts. He has appeared in the Magistrates Court, District Court, Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and the State Administrative Tribunal across a wide range of contentious matters.
Patrick also has strong experience assisting local government and public sector clients in relation to disputes, governance issues, regulatory processes, decision-making and State Administrative Tribunal matters. He understands the procedural and operational pressures that can arise in the public sector and provides clear, practical advice focused on managing risk and resolving matters appropriately.
Working closely with clients through each stage of the dispute resolution and litigation process, Patrick focuses on giving practical, commercially sensible advice that helps clients understand their position, assess their options and make informed decisions. He recognises that litigation can be disruptive and works with clients to resolve matters as efficiently and constructively as possible.
As Special Counsel, Patrick plays an important role within HHG’s dispute resolution capability, supporting clients across metropolitan and regional Western Australia and contributing to the firm’s work across commercial, property, construction and public sector disputes.
Known for his measured, thoughtful and pragmatic approach, Patrick is valued by clients and colleagues for the clarity, steadiness and practical judgement he brings to complex disputes.
