Merrill MacNish | Operations | Chief Operating Officer

Merrill MacNish is the Chief Operating Officer at HHG Legal Group; As the Chief Operations Officer, Merrill is responsible for supporting the operational aspects of the firm and the implementation of the business strategy.

After 17 years in business for herself, in 2015 Merrill sold her four businesses in Geraldton and relocated to Perth.

Being the recipient of many regional & state business awards – other highlights of her career include:

• 40under40 recipient
• Board Member – Small Business Development Corporation
• Board Member – (Treasurer) Mid-West Small Business Centre
• Board Member – Mid West Chamber of Commerce & Industry, where she started as treasurer and finished a 6 year term as president.

Upon arriving in Perth, she worked in the not-for-profit Agribusiness space. It was from there that she was recruited by the Hon Alannah MacTiernan (Minister for Agriculture, Regional Development, Small Business & Hydrogen) as her Executive Officer.

Merrill has over 20 years’ experience in financial management, people & culture, payroll, facilities, marketing, business development and planning, mentoring, strategic and operational management.

Merrill has been working in the law sector since 2018, joining the HHG team in 2023.
