HHG Legal Group understands that it has been a difficult couple of years for the Arts industry. As a result, we are very pleased to invite Western Australian artists to participate in our new Artists in Residence program. Held in HHG Legal Group’s Perth CBD office, this program will see quarterly exhibitions, allowing select artists to showcase their work across the client floor, with over 30 metres of hanging space.
As a Resident of HHG Legal Group’s program, we will assist in profiling your exhibition through the following campaigns:

The exhibition for our new Residents, Colin Pumphrey and Noreen Clapp, has already commenced. The “Eclectic” exhibition showcases a range of diverse subjects and styles reflecting both Colin and Noreen’s individual personalities.
“Through both our art journeys, we have learned to appreciate and enjoy all types of art, while focusing, in recent years, on Plein – Air and urban sketching in the vast outdoors. Within the delights and challenges we face in the studios and with onsite art, the results are a continual creative learning and triumphant life experience for us both.”
Colin and Noreen
Colin has been involved in the art world for over 20 years and has contributed to high-level engineering projects for more than 50 years. His artwork connects engineering and transport, with a focus on environmental and historical themes.
Colin enjoys Plein-Air sketching, often joining talented artists in various locations. He has been a strong supporter of the arts, having served as past president of the Ellenbrook Art Group and a board member of the Ellenbrook Cultural Foundation.
Colin remains an active member of local Plein-Air Art Groups and is affiliated with Ellenbrook Arts, Mundaring Art Centre, the Baskerville Art Centre, and the Armadale Arts Society.
Noreen Clapp is an artist, urban sketcher, and visual diarist whose creative focus shifts with the scale of her work. She currently works primarily in watercolour and enjoys painting outdoors, drawing inspiration from the energy of her surroundings. Urban sketching has helped shape her loose, expressive style and sharpen her time management.
Over time her approach has evolved, she now often leaves parts of the page intentionally blank, adding a sense of mystery and the allure of the unfinished. A keen travel sketcher, Noreen captures her journeys in illustrated travel diaries. Her latest work, A Brush with the Valley, features a collection of sketches from the region.
