As part of its local government series HHG Legal Group will be hosting an information and CPD session next month to provide local government lawyers and local government officers who work in procurement or are involved with the tender process, with a refresher on the law regulating the tender process and a local governments’ obligations (both under statute and at common law). This session will provide a summary of the significant case law in this area with a focus on some of the risks and pitfalls for local governments.
Local Governments need to follow prescriptive regulatory processes when procuring goods and services, however these processes are not fool-proof and will not guarantee successful procurement outcomes.
HHG Legal Group’s local government team invites local government lawyers, executives and staff in governance and procurement/purchasing roles to join James Harris and Julia McCullagh for the next series of local government events, focusing on procuring better.
Local government lawyers are able to claim 1 CPD point in the substantive law category.
HHG’s Local Government Series aims to help local governments learn from each other and the event will be interactive. Attendees are welcome to join us and their local government colleagues for refreshments before and after the event.
