April Jarmoszewicz is a dedicated Senior Associate in our Criminal and Traffic Law team, bringing exceptional experience across multiple legal disciplines. 

Professional Experience 

Since her admission to the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia in 2020, April has built an impressive career in criminal advocacy. Her experience spans State and Commonwealth criminal law, traffic law, restraining orders, family domestic violence matters, and Corporations Act regulatory matters such as insider trading, continuous disclosure, director duty breaches and responding to ASIC notices. 

April excels in managing complex criminal cases, with particular strength in matters requiring meticulous analysis of forensic evidence and electronic data. 

Court Experience 

April is a skilled advocate with substantial court experience: 

  • Appearing in Magistrates and District Courts for legal arguments, bail applications, and complex sentencings 
  • Running Magistrates Court trials and instructing in District Court trials 
  • Preparing comprehensive sentencing submissions 
  • Instructing counsel in Supreme Court trials and appeals 

Specialised Skills 

April’s legal toolkit includes: 

  • Analysing large volumes of evidence to assess available defences  
  • Preparation for Magistrates, District and Supreme Court trials 
  • Preparing witness statements and affidavits 
  • Negotiating downgrading or discontinuing of charges 
  • Representation in section 19 ASIC examinations
