Dr Steve Cohen | Family & De Facto | Managing Associate

Dr Steve Cohen is the Managing Associate for the Family Law team and works in both our Albany and Perth offices.

Steve’s practice comprises a broad range of matters including:

• Children matters
• Financial matters
• Child support matters
• Spousal support applications
• Relocation cases

Steve has a particular interest in complex child-related matters and spousal maintenance applications and has recently been approved as an Independent Children’s Lawyer (ICL).

He has primarily worked in family law since 2004, which included a period at the Mental Health Law Centre where he advised on highly complex child-related matters for some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

In addition, Steve is an adjunct lecturer at the Edith Cowan Law School where he lectures both Public Law and Family Law.

Steve is also a literary critic, currently writing for both the West Australian Lawyers’ Journal, Brief Magazine and Seesaw Arts Magazine.
