Arfa Shoukat is a Senior Associate in the Wills and Estates; and Commercial and Property teams at HHG Legal Group.

Since graduating from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Laws and being admitted to practice in 2017 Arfa has gained experience in both litigious and non-litigious matters in a wide range of legal practice areas including wills and estates, property law, civil litigation, commercial disputes and family law.

Arfa’s primary focus at HHG Legal Group is now succession planning and, commercial and property Law.

Arfa is able to advise on personal and business succession planning including drafting standard through to complex testamentary trust wills and other associated estate planning documents, as well as advising on related entity documents such as trusts and self-managed superannuation funds. Her experience extends to deceased estate administration from the preparation of applications for grants of representation of deceased estates including simple applications in common form and contested applications in solemn form, advising executors/administrators/trustees in all steps of administration, to acting in applications for provision from deceased estates pursuant to the Family Provision Act 1972 (WA) on behalf of claimants, defendants and the estate.

Arfa also practices in all areas of commercial & property law including acquisitions and disposals of businesses and property, all aspects of leasing, mortgages, caveats and other general commercial matters. Arfa has worked on a variety of transactions, advising a range of clients including private clients, individual lessors, small businesses, large corporations, property managers and developers, and local governments.

Her broad background has proven particularly valuable in providing comprehensive and pragmatic advice to clients and bringing commerciality to negotiations.
